Dr. Khurshid Rizvi is a poet of modern Urdu ghazal who has attracted people with his style. Dr. Khurshid Rizvi is a Prosody expert, PhD in Arabic Language and Literature. He is an educationist. Apart from being a prominent poet and writer, he is also an excellent critic. Has a deep study of Persian literature. This is the reason why they often read Arabic and Persian poets and absorb them. Khursheed Rizvi has been like a Khursheed on the horizon of literature, whose light has given glory to every particle. He has also shared the light of knowledge and enlightened the hearts of others. Khursheed Rizvi reformed many poets including Harun al-Rashid Tabasim and made them aware of the skill.

He is like a seas that no matter how much water is taken, there is no decrease in the sea water. Khursheed Rizvi is like a paras that anyone who missed him became a commoner. Dr. Khurshid Rizvi's real name is Muhammad Khurshid Hasan Rizvi. He born on 19 May 1942  in Amridbah (India). He was still young when he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Sahiwal. He  passed B.A. exam from Sahiwal. In 1991, he received gold medal in MA in Arabic from Punjab University, Lahore.

In 1962 he started the teaching department from Bahawalpur and after one year came to Government College Sargodha. Later he served as Principal in Government Anbala Muslim College, Sargodha. During this time, he kept Government Anbala Muslim College as a cradle of literature. Sirat conference, Majeed Amjad's funeral, Iqbal's funeral and celebrations on national festivals were greatly encouraged. You spent twenty two years in the city of Sargodha. In 1985, he went on deputation to Islamic Research Institute, Islamabad, where he worked for six years in the translation department. .He translated "The Place of Human Civilization in the History of Science"  from Arabic to Urdu.
As long as he stayed in Sargodha, he remained the soul of the literary community. Their participation in literary programs was considered mandatory. Wherever he sat, he became a critical seat. Khurshid Rizvi is a very friendly, loving person.



He continued to participate in academic and literary events in Sargodha.  He was a permanent member of Dr. Wazir Agha's Dostanabad. Ghulam Jilani Asghar had a close relationship with Dr. Khurshid Rizvi . During his stay in Sargodha, apart from the college, he explained the mysteries of poetry to many students in poetry. The period of in Dr. Khurshid Rizvi  Sargodha  is a memorable and rich literary period. Regarding this period, Dr. Khurshid Rizvi writes:
"The best and happiest moments of my life were those I spent teaching students at Government Post Graduate College, Sargodha. When I was sitting in the shade of a thick tree in the lawn of the college and had a lively conversation with my students, at that time even if someone passed by us throwing gold, I would not tolerate even giving him a wrong glance. I am also grateful to Professor Ghulam Jilani Asghar Sahib (Principal), who is not only my friend, but also my officer"

Later he served as Visiting Professor at Zahid Islamic Center, Jamia Punjab, Lahore. His first collection of poetry "Shak Tanha"شاخ تنہا  was published in 1974. The other three poetry collections are Saraban ke Sadaf سرابوں کے صدف1981  رائیگاں Raigaan (1996), and امکان Imkaan (2004). These four collections were collected and published in 2007 under the name of "Yakja" یکجا  Alhamd Publications Lahore. Khurshid Rizvi's critical works include Taalif تالیف 1992), Qalaid al jaman( قلائد الجمان(2001, Arabic sharyiعربی شاعری 2001), "Atraf"اطراف 2003, and Arab sharyi cabal az Islam عرب شاعری قبل از اسلام007. He also received the Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi Award and the Stara Imtiaz. Nowadays he lives in Lahore and continues to participate in the meetings of Arbab Zouk.
