Badr Muniruddin was born on 1st September 1964 in Khora Wadi Son Skisar. His father was Malik Nooruddin Awan. Badr Munir did his primary education from Government Primary School, Canal Colony, Mianwali. He matriculated from Government Technical High School, Harabad in 1980. Badar Munir completed his education at Government College, Johrabad and FG Sirsyed College, Rawalpindi, by passing F.A and B.A. After doing M.A in Urdu from Government College Lahore in 1987, he was selected by Punjab Public Service Commission in 1989 and posted as a teacher in Government College, Johrabad. He did Mphil from Allama Iqbal Open University and then took a PhD degree on "اردو میں اقبال کی حالpublished He took the path of poetry in 1978 and then actively participated in the literary activities of the college;
Government College which has been mentioned for its literary gem in Johrabad.

   He rendered valuable literary services as editor of "Ravi" literary journal of Government College Lahore and general secretary of Majlis Iqbal. Badr Munir was also honored with "Role of Honor" in co-curricular activities.  He started his journey with serious Urdu ghazal. Soon, his words started to set the path of popularity among people. Badar Munir wrote very good Urdu Ghazal . Badr Munir is a  teacher, therefore, he has been writing research and critical articles from time to time. A collection of poetry titled "مجھے پلکیں جھپکنے دو " and "زر خزاں " has been published District Khushab. A handful of children's poems have been published under name "مٹھی بھر جگنو ". He has also been the editor of the student magazine Ravi. One of his books has also come out with the name "رقعات عبدالحق". 

The journey that Badr Muniruddin started in different directions was very successful and he is the flagship of success and achievement in every field. His fame graph went higher and higher. Badar Munir resides in Khushab but he is known all over Pakistan. His book "بیسویں صدی کا شعری ادب" has been included in the curriculum in many universities.

A research and critical thesis of M.A level has also been written by Nimal Islamabad on his thought and art. Dr. Badar Munir is a very dynamic personality. Badar Munir has suddenly moved to comedy after writing serious  writing and he has found a unique place and status there too. Their participation in comedy musharies is considered a must.  He have participated in hundreds of comedy musharies.

Dr. Badar Munir has written on various topics. Where they have fired the lance of ridicule, they have also arranged a salve for it. They also point out any distortion in the society, so there is an aspect of reform in it. However, the serious aspect of his poetry cannot be ignored.  He has brought many new themes in Urdu ghazal which has given birth to a uniqueness in his ghazal. While saying ghazal, he is fully aware of the classical limitations in the climate of ghazal and the study of ancient and modern ghazal has also been of great use to him. He sings such beautiful ghazals that the reader is swept away in a flow. See some verses:

Badr Munir is a poet of Urdu ghazal with very beautiful  tone. The poems of his ghazal fill the reader with his joy.  Instead of following the usual traditional path, they keep finding new ways for themselves. There is no sign of plagiarism anywhere in their themes. He steered the boat of words with his pen in the river of life in such a way that the path continued to be smooth. He is still active in the sea of ​​life by holding the helm of the pen.
