Sargodha Arts Council is a division level organization which became once installed in 1982 at Sargodha, with its Head workplace placed at Lahore i.e, Punjab Council of the humanities (PUCAR) Lahore beneath govt. of the Punjab records & culture department, Lahore. Dr. Wazir Agha also participated in its inauguration ceremony. The Commissioner Sargodha division is Chairman of Sargodha Arts Council.
Anjum Moin Bale, Zafar Hayat, Irshadullah Tarr, Saima Saeed, Nasrullah Khan Baloch, and Captain (retd) Khawar Iqbal performed the duties of Resident Director very well. Sargodha Arts Council has been organizing programs on national days. Many Kul Pakistan Mohafal Mushaira and talks are living examples of this.
The major objective of Sargodha Arts Council is promotion of Culture through healthy, educative and constructive programming i.e. women and children programmes, cultural shows, seminars, exhibitions, music concerts and holding of theatrical performances etc.
Sargodha Arts Council is a platform for people of Sargodha who wants to show their art. It will prosper more under the leadership of Dr.Riaz Hamdani.
