Professor Yusuf Khalid is  counted among the active, academic, literary and creative personalities of Sargodha. He  always tries to promote  wisdom, awareness, knowledge and literature. Several literary organizations of Sargodha are under his patronage. He is committed to fasting and prayer but the ascetic is not dry. He is a very sophisticated, sincere, compassionate and intelligent person. Affection, love, honor, respect, dignity, civility, politeness, peace and harmony are part of their personality. They always strive for positive change and improvement in human behavior.

  Professor Yousuf Khalid was born on June 20, 1954 to Rai Sohawa Khan in Chak No. 47 N.B District Sargodha. He received his education up to class five from Government Primary School Chak No. 47 N.B. He passed matriculation exam from Ambala Muslim High School, Sargodha. He received technical education from Government College of Technology Rawalpindi and joined the technical teaching department. You have been one of the senior teachers of the Polytechnic Institute and are currently living a retired life. During his tenure he did M.A in Punjabi and Urdu from Punjab University.

During his stay in Rawalpindi, he took full part in education as well as co-curricular activities and emerged as an excellent speaker during this period. At the same time, he developed his love for poetry. Although you had started writing poetry before that in the 1970s. After coming to Sargodha, actively participated in the literary organizations here.

He edited the Government Polytechnic  Institute Sargodha's magazine "پرواز " for a period. He was also largely successful in inculcating a taste for literature in his students and colleagues. He made the college and Sir Syed Hostel a literary center. Innumerable literary events were held in these two places in which country-level writers and poets participated.

He is one of the founding members of the Sargodha Writers Club and is still active in the club. Yusuf Khalid has been elected as its president twice. Prof. Yusuf Khalid is the central president of Punjab Technical Teachers Association for the past several years. He was also the Editor-in-Chief of نردبان, a literary magazine from Sargodha. His several books including

زرد موسم کا عذاب " ,"ابھی انکھیں سلامت ہیں","ہوا کو بات کرنے دو ", 

"خواب سفر کا رستہ " and "اسے  تصویر کرنا ہے " have been published.

Apart from having deep thinking and intellectual insight on national educational problems, collective national consciousness and national intellectual attitudes, he also keeps a close eye on national and international literature. According to Dr. Wazir Agha:

"Yusuf Khalid is a poet of freshness and individuality. His poetic style, rather than ornamentation and exposition, has the power of unique words."

The themes of his poem are different from others, his poems are neither superficial romantic and social nor related to new and old global political issues. These poems are an internal travel storyImagination is a special feature of his poems.

You are the one who got the most out of Dr. Wazir Agha's Sam-e- Dostanabad.  In 1990, Dr. Yunus Khayal presented the opinions of well-known writers on his poetry in the form of a book"نقطے " . Apart from this, Dr. Abid Khurshid has also paid tribute to Yousuf Khalid by compiling a book on his thought and art. Work on his thought and art is also going on in various universities of Pakistan.

ہم لوٹ جاتے ہیں

چلو یو نہی سہی 
ہم کوٹ جاتے ہیں
کسی ویران گوشے میں 
گئی رت کی سنیری دھوپ
 کھلتی دُودھ ایسی چاندنی
پھولوں کی خوشبو
آنکھ میں اُترے ہوئے لمحوں کا میٹھا عکس
 رنگ ونور کی برسات
جذبوں کی زمیں پر چہل قدمی
 بے قراری بے نیازی 
روٹھنا اور روٹھ کر واپس چلے جانا
 مگر کچھ دور جا کر ...... لوٹ آنا

خوبصورت ساعتوں کے رنگ میں ڈوبی ہوئی
خواہش کے آگے سر جھکا دینا
یہ سب کچھ یاد کرتے ہیں

  1. Yusuf Khalid wants to return to the world of color and light and peace and harmony, where there is light instead of darkness and justice instead of cruelty. He wants to see the world as a cradle of love and peace.
